Have had the coughing cruddies all week, bad enough to stay home from work on Wednesday and sleep; Husband has it too, and I think the only reason Daughter seems to be healthy is that she pretty much stays in her room and only comes out for food (if then).

Four tons of gravel sounds like a lot, but it barely covers the drive in front of the garage. At least the worst of the ruts are filled in.

Last two night we've barely had the energy to run the errands after supper, before falling into bed. But did pick up BLU-Ray "Doctor Who's Christmas Carol" --might get around to watching it this weekend, along with the McGann TV movie (funny thing, I ran across the VHS tape we'd recorded it onto years back a month or so ago; wonder if it still plays?), both at Best Buy. Huh, been even too exhausted to watch the rest of the Tennant WHO specials, let alone dig out the few WHOs I own that feature the Brigadier and watch them....

--- at least, I think that's what's going on with me: lack of energy, wanting to sleep all the time, what can be politely described as persistant gastro-intestinal distress.... too much coffee??? not enough variety in the menu (left-overs, oy!), squabbling chows.....

Currently trying to watch all five seasons of NewWho in order (had only watched sporidically as aired on BBC America and the bits of S1 and S3 that featured CJH when I was on the TORCHWOOD jazz)--- I've finished S1 and started S2; and maybe I've been a bit influenced from reading assorted opinion posts on the subject, but I'm finding it difficult to like Rose; she's coming off as a petulant self-absorbed whiner (actually, so did the Doctor at the end of 'The Christmas Invasion' with his 'six words').

ETA:
We have also been watching all the anime I got Husband for Christmas: "Full Metal Alchemist:Brotherhood" part 3, "Kenichi:The Mightest Disciple" season 2, and "Avatar:The Last Airbender" book 1.

*giggles* Daughter bought me one of those furry animal hats from 'Hot Topic' for Christmas -- the buffalo. So I put it on, and Husband looks up and says in a hopeful tone, 'Yip,yip?' I'm ROTFL and Daughter is 'facepalm' -- TMI, guys! ---- guess you had to be there...

Anyway, that's me, checking in --

Last November, sort of on the spur of the moment, I decided I needed some 'Me-Time" and joined [livejournal.com profile] neadods for the weekend at ChicagoTARDISCon. Despite spending half the weekend worrying about my roommate (who developed food poisoning late Friday Night) and wandering around feeling like a total Pretender because I hadn't watched nearly enough NewWho to understand 3/4ths of what was going on and it being ages since I'd watched any ClassicWho -- I had a great time..... And I'm doing it again this year (only not so 'Eleventh Hour' and hopefully without the food poisoning)!!!!!

And, just saw on the ChicagoTARDISCon web site: Two of the invited guests, just announced this week -- Frazier Hines (Jamie, 2nd Doctor) and Louise Jameson (Leela, 4th Docter).....

Okay, I barely saw any of the Second Doctor's episodes, but TBaker was MY Doctor, and Leela my second favorite Companion (tiny fangirl *Squeee!*)!

Oh yeah -- also invited to the Con: 'Ianto' and 'Rhys' from TORCHWOOD, and writers, producers, etc. etc..... from DW, TW, and SJA.

THIS year, I'm going in better prepared (metaphorically hefts S1-4 box sets, and scrabbles together my burned-off-the internet 'Torchwoods' and 'Sara Janes').

AND I signed up for the Sunday Bruch w/Guests again -- Best meal I'd had all weekend last year, and the guest at my table was charming and delightfully weird, and a good time was had by all!!!
