Truths Relearned Re: Being an Invalid
Apr. 7th, 2007 09:40 amOne: it isn't the injury itself that saps your energy, it's the strain being placed on the rest of your system in taking up the slack;
Two: it is always a mistake to hand your spouse a grocery list, no matter how detailed, and say 'I trust your judgement';
Three: pain pills with more MMPH! than migraine-strngth Advil or Motrin invariably result in dry mouth and weird dreams.
At least the kid is happy! She's gotten to drive my car three times in the past two days... She's still on her Learner's Permit because the state of Illinois requires at least 20 hours supervised driving time before issueing Licenses to Teen drivers. She didn't get much practice over the winter so now she's champing at the bit....
On the Plus side: I'm getting caught up on my anime-watching. On the down side: Thursday was the last chance to see "Zodiac" locally and I BLEW IT!!!!!
meh.
