Writer's Block: Do Not Forget

Antihistamines, especially if I will be dining out. I have a corn allergy; most of the time I can eat a helping of corn or something that has corn in it and experience a minimal reaction, but once in a while I get hit with a mega-reaction that does a damn scary imitation of a heart attack!

The Rings of Saturn. I remember years ago when the pictures came back from NASA, showing details of the rings, I cried because they were so beautiful and I wanted so badly to see them in person and by then I was at least twenty years too late to become an astronaut when I grew up....

The year I turned 21, my Mom and I were over in England doing geneaology research. The day before, we'd turned up some exciting information and because the archives would be closed the day after, we spent my actual birthday digging through birth, baptismal, and death records from the 1700's. However, the day AFTER my birthday we went to Cornwall -- toured the Tintagel ruins, had a tasty ploughman's lunch of bread, cheese & cider, bought souvenirs, visited Clovelly (steepest cobblestone streets in Great Britain), gorged ourselved on a berry-clotted-cream tea... BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!

Cars are just like pets and people; they have quirks and personality and are individuals too.
( Nine for the Mortal Men, Doomed to Die )
And those are just MY cars....My husband names his vehicles, too!

Oddly enough, I dreamed about this very thing a few nights ago: it was something sudden and 'natural' like a stroke, blood clot, heart attack, or some such; not something external like murder, fatal accident or drowning (tho' I did sometimes have dreams about drowning years ago). I was trying desperately to tell my husband and daughter how much I loved them.....
I woke up crying, and spent what was left of the night holding tight to my husband.

Eric Stuart Band. I first became aware of Eric Stuart as a Voice Actor on several of my daughter's favorite TV shows as she was growing up; Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh, for the most part. Imagine my surprise in discovering that the voice of Brock, James, Seto Kaiba and others was also a musical artist of considerable talent! I was able to find and purchase "Blue, Dressed in Black' and became an instant fan. I have since collected "BombShellShocked" and "In the County of Kings"; I know that several of his fans were disappointed by the recent shift away from metal rock to a more Country sound, but I learned to first tolerate, then enjoy some Country music back in the '80's when I worked at a radio station with a Country Gold/Rock format -- and 'County of Kings' came out at a time when I was in an intensely Country Western state of mind.
The Eric Stuart Band was based out of New York City, but apparently has migrated to Nashville, TN with in the past year. Coincidentally, my daughter's current boyfriend lives in Nashville, and recently we had discussed taking a post-graduation road trip down to Nashville to visit said boyfriend and wouldn't you know? The Eric Stuart band was scheduled to perform that week....
The plans fell through, but I had fun teasing my daughter that I was planning to e-mail Mr. Stuart and let him know that one of his fans was going to be in town, she'd just turned 19, and could he maybe sing "Two Perfect Girls" for her? Hmmmm, maybe just as well we didn't -- Daughter KNOWS where I sleep!
Still, would have been a great trip!
