Spring Cleaning
May. 2nd, 2009 08:20 pmWell, today my husband mowed the grass, power-washed the outside of the house with anti-fungal solution (and discovered a ding in the aluminum siding, presumably from last year's storms - will have to see about repairing), got pre-treated two by fours from Menards to replace the front porch step railings, and dug up about half the garden in preparation for planting. I did three loads of laundry, planted the front porch flower boxes (after the power-washing!) replanted some pretty blue bulby things from the back yard to the front flower bed (along with Heath's tulip, Seers' lily and M-i-L's hyacinth), made chicken quesadillas for supper, planted a row of gourmet salad greens in part of the garden plot, put pole bean seeds to soak over night(soften the skins so they sprout faster), and in a few minutes I will sign off the Internets and start putting books in bookcases in the Library room. Oh yeah, and put lotion on my hands....they're rather rough from all the cleaning and washing and planting and washing and...
