I Have a Plan....
Mar. 21st, 2020 10:42 amYesterday, I had just finishing beating the Sunday bulletin into submission and was getting ready to print when I got the call I'd been halfway expecting since Wednesday: the Elders decided to close down the Church for the next two weeks -- no Worship, no meetings, no activities, no Confirmation Classes, nada. And I was expected to go home at the end of the day and stay there until April 1st -- this being prior to our State Governor's declaration of the "STAY IN PLACE" until April 7th!" directive last night.
Personally, L believe that my chances of catching the VIRUS would be lower going in to work, because I would be the only person there, than staying at home because as of right now HUSBAND'S place of work is still open and he is expected to turn up bright and early Monday morning and risk exposure via his idiot co-workers. Not to mention, the plants in the lobby will croak if they're not watered at least twice a week....
Which means I will be popping in at least twice a week to water the plants.
In the meantime, I have books to read, knitting to complete, and fan-fiction to work on, since finding those partial print outs of chapters 3 and 4 of "Still Waters". Since our home computer lacks a word processing program, I will most likely type them up as DW entries.
At least we were FINALLY able to pick up more toilet paper and bottled water at the grocery store last night. We walked in just as they were re-stocking the TP !!! Yays!
Bel is still doing well; she's scheduled to see the canine chiropractor in May, unless something happens. Jethro still needs his shots, though. Maybe I can get that scheduled next week -- I'm not certain if veterinarians are considered 'essential service providers'.
Aw, crap! all my music is up at the office! (going into "Wicked" and "Les Mis" withdrawal!)
