Well.
My shoulder procedure has been postponed, and will be rescheduled sometime next week, because the Ambulatory Surgery Clinic is still without full electrical power. grrrrrrrrrrr..... and after I went to all the trouble to get three days off THIS week!!!! Oh well, can't be helped.
Now, if I can get this to work:
This is our backyard. Behind the big pile of leaves and branches, you can almost see my garden--- tomatoes, peppers, and an assortment of herbs.

This is the street in front of our house the afternoon of July 21, 2008 after a minimum of clean-up.

There was also a picture of the power company 'cherry-pickers' at work, but it came out side-wise and I'm not sure how to correct that!
Later!

Date: 2008-08-06 06:17 am (UTC)Just be glad none of those trees had been "topped" (at least that are in view) -- the suckers that result from topping don't have any woody attachment to the tree, so they fly off in any high wind, way worse than normal branches! Which scares people into re-topping the trees every year or two. It's become a huge problem here, now that tree services have discovered this revenue stream. (Once topped, a tree is ruined forever. They may green up again, but new growth will be all suckers, and they cannot recover their normal structure or strength.)
Sideways picture: in whatever you're using to edit 'em, find the ROTATE option and apply 90 degrees worth whichever direction is required. The software came with the camera surely has the option. (If not, someone near and dear to thee could fix it. :)
