More Arrrrrgghhhhhh

not_hathorYou'd think I'd have learned by now --
anything I really think is important, such as my NaNoWriMo, or downloads of fanfics that are no longer available ANYWHERE, or my own half-baked fics, needs to be backed up in multiple locations on multiple media so they don't get lost if something messes up the harddrive!!!!!!!
The home computer is all F-ed UP -- I think we caught that 'April Fool's Virus' that everyone was panicking over at the end of March....
And did I think to save my NaNoWriMo, or any of my other WIPs, even if just as an attachment to an e-mail? NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

ETA: at least I'd posted approx. half of my NaNoWriMo to LJ already, not a total loss, but ohhhhhhhh.....
