Just got home from a Presbytery-sponsored 'Administrative Assistants Appreciation Luncheon' in Peoria. Five hours plus of driving (total) and taking the wrong turn out of Peoria, thereby driving home via county roads headed north and west, under the assumption that eventually I'd hit a state highway and/or the Interstate and figure out where in the STATE I was.... because the only road map I had with me today was the MAPQUEST driving directions....
The lunch was okay (a fruit and tuna salad plate), and it was sort of fun to swap 'Church Secretary Horror stories' with my peers, and I did get to finally listen to the DR WHO Audio adventure I bought at TARDIScon last November while driving downstate, and the church is going to reimburse me for gas/mileage, but over all? I'd rather have just stayed home and watched DvDs and called it a 'Mental Health Day'....
