Brokeback got me
Mar. 6th, 2006 11:46 amYup, went to see it yesterday. I already knew most of what was involved, so I was prepared with tons of kleenex in my pockets, took a seat close to the door just in case I couldn't handle certain scenes and had to leave....
Gorgeous scenery. And the mountains weren't too shabby, either. Dang, that was a lot of sheep!
I always thought Heath Ledgar was just a 'pretty-boy' actor... I was wrong. He was so robbed in the Oscars last night.
Well, I didn't cry. I think I was all cried out from Orion last week. I didn't feel the knife in my heart I half expected during the scene where Alma witnesses Ennis and Jack although I really do feel for both wives, having been there myself.
I guess most of all I'm trying to figure out why our local movie critic's wife walked out on it at the first kiss....
Now all I have to do is figure out how to see it again. Easier said than done, with money so tight at the moment.
