There's kinda a cute story behind my lj log-in. I have a variety of Media Fan interests, which include both StarGate:SG1 and Yu-Gi-Oh! Over on the ff.net site I've been posting stories and reviews as MotherCHOWGoddess (and there's yet another story behind THAT!) Anyway, I made the mistake of letting the sunshine of my dreary existence (aka My Daughter) see a reply someone sent me in which the poor unsuspecting reviewer left the "H" out of CHOW.....

Daughter, being the intelligent brat she is, started teasing me by calling me 'Hathor'!

So, since I'm something of a continuity detail obsessive (blame the years I spent working in radio) in that I prefer my on-line aliases to have SOME common denominator.... voila! not-Hathor.

(are you bored yet? I hear snoring..... guess I'll save the story of the 1999 Highlander Cruise and the furbys for some other time)

That's a great story! I was wondering where the not-Hathor came from. And I guess you couldn't go with MotherCOWGoddess, although it's a wonderful typo.

Hey Nenya! It was nice to see you this morning, and I meant to reply sooner, but Orion the Baka Inu had a really bad episode this morning and we ended up taking him down to the vet for a shot of valium. Poor baby was struggling so hard to stand and just couldn't, and got even more agitated when he couldn't -- of course, after the valium he was totally blissed out....ooooh, Mom, look at the pretty colors ...

Glad you liked the story behind not-hathor. 'Furbywrangler' is a little more involved... so I'm saving that for some other time.
