--- at least, I think that's what's going on with me: lack of energy, wanting to sleep all the time, what can be politely described as persistant gastro-intestinal distress.... too much coffee??? not enough variety in the menu (left-overs, oy!), squabbling chows.....

Currently trying to watch all five seasons of NewWho in order (had only watched sporidically as aired on BBC America and the bits of S1 and S3 that featured CJH when I was on the TORCHWOOD jazz)--- I've finished S1 and started S2; and maybe I've been a bit influenced from reading assorted opinion posts on the subject, but I'm finding it difficult to like Rose; she's coming off as a petulant self-absorbed whiner (actually, so did the Doctor at the end of 'The Christmas Invasion' with his 'six words').

ETA:
We have also been watching all the anime I got Husband for Christmas: "Full Metal Alchemist:Brotherhood" part 3, "Kenichi:The Mightest Disciple" season 2, and "Avatar:The Last Airbender" book 1.

*giggles* Daughter bought me one of those furry animal hats from 'Hot Topic' for Christmas -- the buffalo. So I put it on, and Husband looks up and says in a hopeful tone, 'Yip,yip?' I'm ROTFL and Daughter is 'facepalm' -- TMI, guys! ---- guess you had to be there...

Anyway, that's me, checking in --

I kinda got a kick out Rose and Sarah Jane's "pity party competition" in one episode.

I like Torchwood but BBC America keeps showing the same few episodes over and over! ):

Been feeling blah myself, but that tends to happen during winter. Doctor says it mat be seasonal affective disorder. (I.E. need more sunlight.)

I think that's on the next disc, which I will probably watch either tonight or tomorrow. I try for two episodes per session, depending on if H. wants to watch something or not. I have Season 2 of Sarah Jane Adventures, and was delighted to see the Brigadier (oh, but he's aged....*sniffle*).

Alas, the Hot

Alas, the Hot Topic at the Peru Mall no longer exists.
Yup, post holiday blahs have hit here, too. Plus I'm worried about the Kitties.

Get your thyroid checked. Last year I had the exact same symptoms. TSH tested at about 5.00 which used to be marked "normal" but is now considered marginal (thyroid still functioning, but at a sub-optimal level). Went on low dose thyroid replacement. The falling asleep thing and gastro ill-mannerisms went away almost immediately. I could name a dozen other folks with the same issue (mom, great-uncle, friends). It's very common, probably related to changes in the hormonal system as we age. Likely comes on more noticeably during winter because of the higher energy demands of cold weather.
