#1 - On my Jury Duty summons it claimed that we would be paid $50 compensation for our first day, $35 for any subsequent days (up to a week). During the orientation, the judge apologized; apparently after the notices went out the State legislature decided that wasn't financially possible, so knocked it down to $10 plus mileage. Damn. At least it was only half a day for me, and I still got the $10.
#2 - One of the *JOYS* of owning a home is County Property Taxes....which always go UP, never DOWN..... first payment of just under $600 is due June 6th. And from somewhere I have to come with an additional $101 for my car registration renewal by the end of this month.
#3 - Plus a trip to the dentist for teeth-cleaning/check -up which had already been rescheduled twice due to finances; and wouldn't you know, she found a pre-cavity that needs to be taken care of. - Guess what? NO Dental Insurance. At least our dentist allows us to put half down and make payments on the remainder.
But, yes, I think Spring is finally here..... our flowering Crab apple tree, and the backyard cherry tree are blooming.
