.... according to my auto shop guy, at least not directly. Though he did recommend a flush and fluid replacement, because the fluid looked pretty dark. The rattle in the rear is apparently bad stabilizer links, and at least some of the vibration is unbalanced tires (that will be free, because I bought my most recent batch of tires there). The rest will cost around $518 plus tax to take care of.... It will be tricky, but not undo-able. Unfortunately the Goodyear shiney took a hit at the beginning of June because of the rear brakes, and it hasn't recovered very much yet, and the Other Shiney is down a bit due to Bel's annual vaccinations and chiropractic treatments the past few weeks. There goes my cash stash....again.
Bah! I don't mind the money for Bel; it's the car repairs -- they should have said something about the stabilizers when they worked on the brakes. On the other hand, I probably couldn't have done them anyway at the time (lack of $$$) But considering I've spent the last month worried that the transmission was going bad !!!
Sigh.
BoyfriendZ has declared he is almost ready to look for a car. That will be good, as the bus service out to the industrial park has become a tad more unreliable, and Uber and Lyft get expensive. Husband and I have taken turns picking up the slack, especially on weekends, and BFZ has been diligent about reimbursing us for gas, but that stretch of highway is in such seriously bad condition that I suspect it affected both the stabilizers and the tire balance on poor Adric... I'm considering writing to the county road commission and congratulating them on their ingenious method of discouraging speeders! (*cough* NOT *cough*)
Got some rain last night, along with some lightning and thunder. Idiot Half-Chow insisted he needed go outside at around 1:30 a.m. -- he'd barely cleared the porch when there was a flash and a boom! Jethro practically levitated back up the stairs to the door... didn't even have time to do what he thought he needed to! (which is why come 3:30 a.m. he was fussing again...)
Husband ordered our SunJoe wood chipper from Amazon. It's done a great job! Almost all of the branches are demolished, except the piece of trunk that split off from the tree. I told Husband he should sign up for a chainsaw wood sculpting class -- he told me I was funny.
Found my sock knitting patterns, can't find my needles. That's what happen when one cleans!
Later, 'gators!
