I do not care one bit for having the flu bug..... It hit me and Daughter HARD a week ago last Wednesday, and we've both been recovering in fits and starts ever since-- me more than her, because I'm a tough old bird and used to 'sucking it up' and soldiering on. Last night however, it caught up to me again. Ugh.
There is an unfamiliar name on my 'friends' list' -- I'm not complaining, because I think I know who it is; there's also one missing, and the new 'front' page is consistent with that individual's interests. I wish it was Mutual, but I'm not going to beg.
Edited to Add: Upon reflection, it's probably just as well -- I was NOT looking forward to the resulting emotional devastation of characters and readers alike if, as seemed likely, one of her characters succumbed to the unnamed but potentially deadly illness he suffered from. This way, there is some 'open space' as to the outcome of that particular plot element.
I will miss this particular LJ 'friend' -- a talented writer with a genius for characterization and evoking a mood through powerful imagery, and a delightfully oddball way of looking at society. I will miss her stories and being a part of her community. However, her interests have diverged and changed and so have mine. Let be, let be.....
Husband ran the 'spyware' detector on the computer the other day, and the cookies got deleted again.... fortunately I learned from the LAST time this happened and had all my passwords MEMORIZED......
Am thinking of reposting "The Shadow at Your Door" over at the Pit -- with the expanded 'hint of Lime' section.
Also am thinking of posting bits of my RealGhostbusters/The Shadow NaNoWriMo fic.....
Opinoins?
