So this is how Riverside, Iowa aquired that massive chasm we saw in ST:the Reboot Movie. Wonder if the New Madrid fault is involved? Guess I'll have to watch tomorrow night and find out.

Yep, slept right thru the earthquake this morning; good old New Madrid fault lines at it again.... I can think of twice when I was awake and noticed: once when I was a kid and we were living in the house on 5th Avenue, and one time after I got married and we were in the mobile home and husband asked if I had laundry going because the room was shaking!

I remember reading once that we get a noticeable tremor about every seven years, but if it ever really cuts loose again like it did back in the 1800's, we can probably say 'goodbye' to a lot of property development all along the Ohio-Illinois-Mississippi-Missouri-Arkansas river basins. And that we're WAAAAAY overdue for a Big One.....
