Furby Wranglings

We lost another of the good ones over the weekend. I *DO* like my work here at the church, but this is why I stopped going down to lunch with the Quilt Ladies on Tuesdays -- I get too attached, and then it hurts like crazy when they pass away. It's an elderly congregation, so it's inevitable; and this year hasn't been as bad as some years (we can joke about it now, but 2005 was a dangerous year to be named 'James')--- but oh, I'm going to miss Bessie!!!

Ironically it started out pretty good, with pizza and good friends from college and shared jokes and reminiscences....

And then they went home, and I checked my Friends' Page, and well...

I'm going to cry now. And I'm not gonna to talk about it either. Just some sad news.

I'll see most of you next year.
